18 members from the NLU community are in NOLA from Aug. 10-16 to assist teachers of KIPP Central City Academy prepare for the Fall 2008 school year, opening again since Hurricane Katrina. The service team will set-up Knd, 5th and 6th grade classrooms and a central library. Reopening this school brings hope to the neighborhood. The team will continue their work with Happy Times Preschool. These partnerships developed Aug. 2007. Contact Karen Roth for more information.

Brigid prepares to Sing
Brigid sang wonderfully for us, both solo and with Trish, and regaled us with stories of life in the fast lane with Trish as an Open Mike Rock Folk Duo!!
